CARTWHEEL NEWS (27.01.2006)
Cartwheel are currently recording their next album which will most likely end up being a
'download only' album entitled "Fuck Jetlag, Let's Party" with artwork and the lot. We hope
to organise some free shows called 'Bringing music back to notes and melodies rather
than notes and coins' over the summer months if we can get some bands to take part
here in Melbourne, Australia. I have also posted all our old albums as MP3s on the music
page because the seven inch is virtually sold out and you can't get the older albums - they
are terrible but good for a laugh.
Our last trip to UK, Spain and USA was an experience - the gigs were a mix of good and
bad, amazing and horrific - all on the same tour. Once again, we were helped by truly
amazing genuine people who love all types of music and we hope we can return the favour
if anyone needs help down under.
Our next sojourn is hopefully going to be some shows in Japan (so we can drink sake,
Barcelona (so we can see Sonar, Manchester (so we can see townies or Hamburg (so we
can see the world cup in late May, early June.
